Hoefler & Frere-Jones - webfont confusion

Hoefler & Frere-Jones craft some stunning fonts and they’ve sponsored every web conference I’ve been to in the last few years. What’s really confusing though is that they don’t allow @font-face usage.

Apparently there is something on the way; but I want to use Archer on the web in a manner that’s inline with html standards, has a valid license and I want to do that today, or this week. Not “soon”

So they sponsor web conferences but don’t allow @font face. Hoefler & Frere-Jones — you’re confusing.

Edit - 25th April: At DIBI someone was kind enough to show me that Hoefler & Frere-Jones are now offering webfonts, but are currently in the beta phase. Dan Cederholm is one of the lucky few beta testing the service. I do hope that they open up soon. I really, really would like to be able to use their fonts.
