Recently I got into soup, specifically tinned soup as sold in a shop. It is a new thing to me, previously soup was something to be served only before the main course. Now I see it as a value adding utilitarian item perfect for todays modern work place.

Good things about tinned soup:

  • can eat cold or hot
  • loads of variety
  • very good value for money per serving
  • low calorific load (this is what I want at this point in time)
  • can be drank from a mug
  • lots of competition

Bad things about tinned soup:

  • Seems very wasteful having a single use metal canister
  • Heavy compared to a sandwich

Soup is interesting.
